These terms are an agreement between you and AKS (“we”, “us”), covering the AKS app and website. By using AKS you accept them.
What AKS is
AKS is an AI-powered virtual try-on app — Pakistan's first B2C virtual try-on app, built by the team at SPL. You upload a photo of yourself, browse the brands you already love, pick an item, and AKS generates a preview of how that piece could look on you.
Today this website is a pre-launch site: you can read about AKS and join the waitlist. The app is launching soon, and these terms are written to cover both.
Previews are simulations — read this one
Every try-on image AKS produces is an AI-generated simulation, not a photograph. Fabric drape, colour, texture, sizing and finish will differ in real life.
AKS is not a guarantee of fit, size, colour accuracy, stock or availability, and it is not styling, sizing, or purchasing advice. Always check the brand's own size guide, product details and return policy before you buy. We are not responsible for a purchase you make because a preview looked a certain way.
Your account
You can browse this website and join the waitlist without an account. Using the app requires signing in with Google or Apple, so your photos, try-ons and saved items are backed up and follow you to a new phone. You're responsible for activity on your account, and you must be at least 13 to use AKS.
You can permanently delete your account and everything synced to it anytime in the app: Profile → Delete my account & data.
Your photos
The photos you upload stay yours. You give us permission to process them in order to generate your try-ons and to store them in your account so your results are still there next time you open the app. That permission exists only to run the service for you — nothing else.
We do not use your photos to train AI models. Not ours, not anyone else's.
Only upload photos you have the right to upload. That means:
- Photos of yourself, or of someone who has clearly agreed to it.
- Never photos of children, and never anyone who hasn't agreed.
- Nothing unlawful, sexual, hateful, or designed to mislead people about a real person.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that break this.
Credits & top-ups
Core virtual try-on is free. Beyond that, AKS runs on credits: you top up a balance, and each try-on you generate spends credits from it. There is no subscription and nothing auto-renews — you are never charged unless you choose to top up.
- Top-ups are in-app purchases handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see your card details. The price of each top-up is shown before you pay.
- Credits are for use inside AKS only. They are not money: they have no cash value, can't be transferred between accounts, and can't be exchanged for cash.
- Credits expire. Each top-up is valid for a limited period. We tell you what that period is before you buy, show it on your balance in the app, and remind you before credits are about to run out. Once credits expire they're gone, and they aren't refunded.
- Top-ups are non-refundable once purchased, except where Apple's or Google's own refund policies say otherwise — those requests go through them, not us.
- If a try-on fails because of a fault on our side, we put the credits it used back on your balance.
- We may offer free or promotional credits. These can carry their own expiry, and we can modify or end them at any time.
- Deleting your account forfeits any unused balance — it can't be restored afterwards, so spend it first if you care about it.
The waitlist & early access
Joining the waitlist doesn't create an account, and it doesn't lock in a price, a feature, or a launch date. The early-access perks we describe are what we intend to offer and may change before we go live. You'll get an email when AKS launches, and you can unsubscribe from it at any time.
Fair use
Don't abuse the service. That means no:
- Scraping or bulk-extracting our catalogue, imagery, or outputs.
- Reverse engineering the app or our models.
- Reselling our data or try-on outputs as your own dataset.
- Attacking, overloading, or probing our systems.
- Using someone else's account without their permission.
- Using AKS to produce misleading or harmful imagery of a real person.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Our content & brand names
The AKS app, brand, design and catalogue are ours. Brand and retailer names appearing in AKS are trademarks of their respective owners, used only to identify their products (nominative use). AKS is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any brand unless we say so explicitly. A brand that wants its imagery or details corrected or removed can reach us at the address below — we act on real issues fast.
What you share with us
Feedback, corrections and suggestions you send may be used to improve AKS without obligation to you. They may be kept in anonymized form even after account deletion.
Liability
AKS is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including a purchase you regret — and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or PKR 1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending or changing the service
We may update, change, or discontinue features. If we materially change these terms, we'll note it in the app and update the date above — continuing to use AKS after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes belong to the courts of Pakistan.
